Long Term Care Insurance

Long-term care insurance helps people with chronic illness, disability, or cognitive impairment such as Alzheimer’s, so that they may meet everyday needs like bathing, eating, and dressing.  This is a way to minimize out-of-pocket expenses should one of these scenarios arise, by shifting a significant portion of the financial burden to a third party.  Long-term care insurance is currently the fastest-growing type of insurance being sold in the U.S.  It differs from traditional medical care in that it is intended to help a person maintain his or her level of functioning rather than treating or rehabilitating a medical problem.
